Dear All,

Please note this has been sent to anyone who played last Summer or the current Winter season. I know some of you will not be playing for the Apaches...

This is all the legalese that we're required to send out - the short form is - an active club requires active members and executive. If you care about the club and it's future, you will do your very best to make time to come to this meeting. It generally doesn't take long, but you get the chance to bring up anything you think is not helping, or present ideas that may help the Apaches to continue being the mightiest cricket club in the known universe.

Thanks to all that attended, it was great to see all of you again.

Unfortunately, Jono couldn't make it, something to do with being in America, but he did send in a report on the year's activities and achievements (reproduced below)

Nominations for positions were a touch thin on the ground, but Luke Malpass will be our Club Captain for the coming year, with myself once again taking on the Secretary's role, and Sean Livingstone nominated for Treasurer (once we've confirmed with him that's OK...) - we seem to be good at electing Treasurer's when they're actually not present...

We also had nominations for two new Life Members, both of whom have made immense contributions to the Club over the years - please welcome Cam White (Player #17) and Aleksandr Yap (Player #20) as Life Members of the Kingsford Apaches CC.

The Exec will need to meet to sort our Rego Day and some training runs before the season starts on 09 October, but I'd expect things to start rolling from about late August and through September.

Every one is also invited to the Winter post-season drinks on 21 August at the Sydney Park Hotel (631 King St, Newtown) from about 16:00.

More details as they come to hand!

Cheers
