Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and recovering from your various injuries, old
age, misadventures of youth and the like.

The Apaches Cricket End of (summer) Season dinner is upon us.
The details:

Venue: The Royal hotel, Abercrombie st Darlington. http://goo.gl/maps/j8HBw
Date: Saturday 18th May
Time: 1930 hours onwards. (7.30 pm for you non world clock types)
Cost: $20
Juniors are welcome!

There is some street parking nearby, as welll as the university and i
will find out about using their areas and advise. It is a short walk
from Redfern station, and a shorter one to city road where you can
pick up Newtown and inner west buses, or back to town.

There is a meal included with admission, and you can pre-order to me
or choose when you arrive.

The menu will likely include:
Rump steak (cooked how you like it)
Chicken Schnitzel
Fish & Chips and
some sort of Vegetarian option, most likely a lasagna or similar.
With your choice of Chips / Mash / Veg / Salad and sauces.
There will be $10 jugs of various beers, $10 house wine, plus a full
bar for other orders.

There is also a pool table and pinballs in the area we are using so
bring your gold coins! TVs downstairs for the 'Tahs vs Brumbies match,
and whatever is going on in the NRL/AFL.

Also there will be special guests, lots of prizes and a raffle, the
top prize being a signed Mike Hussey ODI ball with certificate of
authenticity or a date with GG.

Also the presentation of the perpetual awards, some other awards for
outstanding performances, outstanding efforts, and outstanding comedy.

I am taking nominations for the following categories (and more - feel
free to suggest others)
All the usuals; Rookie of the year, Batting, Bowling and fielding awards, and:
Best bruise: (photos required)
Best catch:
Worst catch:
Most improved:
Least improved:
The "Abuse of Power" captaincy award:
Best performance by a supporter:
Best injury:
and many more!

If anyone has any questions please ask, and if there are
ex/future/players & supporters please feel free to invite them along.
Also if there's anyone we may have missed please spread the word.

If juniors are welcome does that mean even more juniors could be accommodated?

Under age is under age... We're likely to be somewhat noisy knowing us, but even really junior juniors can be accommodated...
